The Fall Technical Conference of the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) will be held in Oak Brook next month.
Such conferences and the people who attend them often take advantage of retail and other offerings in nearby communities, such as Oakbrook Terrace.
The theme of this year’s conference is The Ink Industry: Adaptable, Flexible, Resilient. The Fall Technical Conference of NAPIM is a major venue for information exchange, technical training, and professional development in the discipline of graphics arts. There will be a wide range of opportunities for networking and education in the field. The topics at the conference will ensure that attendees will leave with an accurate, current, and comprehensive understanding of the important regulatory, market, and technical issues in the industry.
Among the speakers at the conference will be David Wawer, Executive Director of the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association; George Fuchs, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Technology at NAPIM; Rich Czarnecki, Vice President of Micro Powders; and David Fisher, Counsel, Keller and Heckman.
There will be a reception with tabletop exhibits and a reception and awards dinner. No doubt people working for Print shops will be among those in attendance, as well as those with an interest in graphic design.
The conference will take place from Tuesday, October 12 through Thursday, October 14.
