Hardware company finds new HQ in Oakbrook Terrace

What was once the campus of McDonald’s in Oak Brook will become the new headquarters for Ace Hardware. This can be good news for residents of Oakbrook Terrace looking for potential employment and businesses interested in expanding their opportunities.

The site spans 80 acres and will enable the company to have the space it needs for amenities and for growth. Ace is moving its headquarters from Kensington Court in Oak Brook to Jorie Boulevard, which is on the other side of Butler National Golf Club. This new space will enable all its employees to be in the same building for the first time.

Moves to such new spaces often call for the need for Stationery printers as new Letterheads, Business Cards, and other printed material require updates to addresses and other information.

President and CEO of Ace Hardware, John Venhuizen, expressed his happiness in finding a space that not only provides an environment that will inspire the employees of the company and reinforce its culture but also allow for growth. Chief financial officer of Ace Hardware, William Guzik, said the company has signed a lease for the space for 16 years.

Ace has over 5,500 stores locally owned in 65 countries, making it the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the world.

Renovations to the space are expected to begin later this year with occupation of the space to take place next summer.
