Em-tec, headquartered in Finning, Germany, is a company that designs and manufactures flow measurement devices for many medical and biopharmaceutical applications. It has been in business for 30 years and has a history of producing innovative equipment used in transplant, vascular, and cardiac surgery; life-support and dialysis procedures; and industrial and laboratory processes. It has been a pioneer in non-invasive flow measurement and can assist in a variety of situations where there is a need for flexible tubing.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Dover, Richard Tobin, said that the purchase of Em-tec will enable the company to reach biopharmaceutical and other hygienic applications, and improve its portfolio of technologies involved in flow control.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year.
