Wayback Burgers will be opening its second suburban Chicago location in Oakbrook Terrace this spring, adding about 30 jobs to the economy in the area.
Dwayne Simmons, who owns the eatery, said that he is very excited about opening this restaurant in Oakbrook Terrace. John Eucalitto, President of the Wayback Burgers chain, based in Connecticut, added that with the growth of the chain of two new locations every month and operations in 26 states that it is a good time to be part of the Wayback Burgers brand.
The Oakbrook Terrace location will be 1,500 square feet in size, with a red barn board interior with accents in white and stainless steel, so that it resembles the traditional American roadside burger stand.
On the menu will be cooked-to-order burgers as well as veggie and turkey burgers, fresh salads and sides, grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, and house-made chips. Beer will also be served.
Wayback Burgers was started in Newark, Delaware in 1991, and now has over 120 restaurants across the United States and around the world. The company might benefit from the assistance of a printing company in the Oakbrook Terrace area to promote the new restaurant and when those interested in working there might be apply to apply for the open positions.
