Currently underway is a back-to-school backpack drive by ‘Once Upon A Child Oak Brook’ for families and kids in the local area to donate Backpacks that have been gently used.
Once Upon A Child, a business buying and reselling toys, clothing, and equipment for children, will be holding the drive where donated Backpacks will be given to children in the local communities who are getting ready to return to school. The donated items can be brought to the business’ location in Oakbrook and then items will be delivered to Catholic Charities in time for their annual Back-To-School Fair, assisting low-income families.
According to owner of Once Upon a Child Oak Brook, Rachel Gutierrez, this is a very exciting opportunity to be working with the community to collect Backpacks no longer used by kids so that they can be recycled and used by another child. Some businesses in the area are showing their support and thanking those who donate by giving coupons and offers to those who are donating their Backpacks.
The organization are likely to use a local flyer printing company to create a flyer with more information about the drive to distribute around Oakbrook Terrace and the surrounding area, thus generating enthusiasm in the community for participating in this special event, which runs until July 27.Get a Free Quote for Backpacks
