The Executive Women’s Council of the Northern Illinois Food Bank will be sponsoring A Cup of Hope next month at the Embassy Suites in Naperville. Residents of Oakbrook Terrace will want to attend this afternoon’s event, whose proceeds will benefit a worthy cause.
Guests will be served a selection of loose teas, sparkling wine, assorted pastries and scones, fresh fruit, hors d’oeuvres, and finger sandwiches while being able to network with friends and meet new people. Judy Duncan, owner of Cafe K’Tizo, in Wheaton and a certified tea specialist will be the main speaker, discussing the traditions around tea and how the drink can bring people together. There will also be a silent auction and the opportunity to win themed raffle prizes.
Proceeds from the afternoon will go towards the feeding programs of the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Sponsorships are also available at several levels, one company or individual per each level, as well as quarter-page, half-page, and full-page ads in the event’s program booklet, which will most likely be printed by a local Print shop.
The Northern Illinois Food Bank is a member of Feeding America and provides innovative feeding programs and food pantries for over a half million people each year in its 13-county service area.
A Cup of Hope will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on Sunday, March 1.
