A “star-studded” store will be opened by Amazon in the Oakbrook Center Mall and will feature the most popular items from the online retail giant. Residents of Oakbrook Terrace will no doubt want to try out the store once it opens.
The store will be called Amazon 4-star. Items to be carried in the store are ones that have received four stars from customer reviews or are top sellers of the company. Typically offered at the Amazon 4-star stores are small home appliances, toys, games, and electronics, usually in a greater range than regular Amazon stores.
Printing services can be used to create materials with more information about such stores and their offerings.
New York City has the first location of such a store, which opened in 2018. There are now other such stores in Berkeley, California; Seattle; and Denver. In the local area, there are a few brick-and-mortar Amazon stores, with an Amazon Books in Chicago and another bookstore in Lakeview, in addition to six other convenience stores.
A spokesperson from Brookfield Properties which manages the mall, said that the store in Oakbrook will be on the main level of the mall in what was formerly part of a Sears department store.
No opening date has been announced for the store, although there are job postings for the new outlet on its website.
