The Kovak Dermatology & Laser Institute in Oakbrook Terrace, with another office in Rockford, recently announced that Benjamin Caughlin, MD, FACS, a facial plastic surgeon, has been added to its team.
The addition of Dr. Caughlin will enable the Institute to expand its offerings to include special surgical procedures, such as brow, neck, and eye lifts, scar revision, otoplasty and rhinoplasty, among other procedures of a non-surgical nature.
Dr. Caughlin takes pride in using extremely safe procedures that result in shorter recovery times. He uses local anesthesia, so there is less risk for the patient and less downtime.
Stanley Kovak, MD, commented that the Institute is excited about the addition of Dr. Caughlin to the practice. He added that the Institute has been known for many years for its ability to deliver nonsurgical treatment for facial aesthetics in the Chicago area, and now it can offer surgical treatments to its patients.
Having completed a fellowship in reconstructive and plastic surgery at the University of California in Orange County, Dr. Caughlin teaches surgical techniques to residents at Northwestern and the University of Illinois, where he also undertook his residency.
