Wooden lamp class to be hosted near Morton Grove

The Make It Take It Lamp Class is scheduled to take place close to Morton Grove this February.

The Rebuilding Exchange developed this workshop, which is for adults ages 18 and older only. Participants do not need to have any past experience with woodworking in order to register. The sign-up fee for the class is $70 per person and is available online.

This Make It Take It Class will center on how to create lamps out of wood. Participants from Morton Grove will learn step by step how to build a lamp safely and effectively from scratch. Each student is welcome to take his or her lamp home after the event concludes. All required woodworking equipment and materials will be provided to students onsite. When instructors who lead similar classes are preparing for the event, they often choose professional flyer printing as an efficient way to produce helpful printouts for each student.

Several important health and safety rules will apply to this event. All attendees must bring and wear their own facemasks and have their temperature checked with a touchless thermometer. Social distancing will be in place whenever practical.

The Make It Take It Lamp Class is set to occur at the Rebuilding Exchange in Chicago on Saturday, February 6 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
