Morton Grove area to keep Christmas spirit alive

Those in the Morton Grove and Northbrook areas wanting to savor the remnants of Christmas should note that the Willow Hill Lights display will remain open into the new year.

The Willow Hill Lights is a popular drive-thru lights display taking place on the Willow Hill Golf Course during the winter holidays every year. The event is celebrating its fifth year of operation and is packed with even more new features this year. The drive-thru takes people along 2.5 miles of around 1.5 million mesmerizing LED lights, with displays such as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and the 12 Days of Christmas.

As a main feature, there is a 30-foot digital Christmas tree strung with over 24,000 RGB lights dancing in sync to holiday music. This year’s event has even more lights than last season, boasting longer tunnels and larger displays. Hot chocolate and cinnamon mini donuts are also available for attendees to enjoy.

People looking for holiday activities to do after Christmas may be on the lookout for Flyers advertising such events. These are often prepared and printed by organizers at shops with flyer printing capabilities.

The Willow Hill Lights Drive-Thru is currently happening every night at 5:00 pm through January 4. The Willow Hill Golf Course is located at 1350 Willow Road, Northbrook, just a few miles from Morton Grove.
