The 6th annual Morton Grove Sustainability Expo will take place in town this September, offering a day of exploring green initiatives, programs, and services that can be engaged by community members and local businesses alike.
The sustainability expo is organized by the Environment and Natural Resources Commission (ENRC), which is an organizational body that advises the Village of Morton Grove Board on how to better promote preservation, conservation, protection, and improvement of the Village's natural resources and environment. The ENRC meets every first Monday of every other month at the Village Hall to discuss its various events, programs, and initiatives.
The Sustainability Expo & Recycling Fest will provide an opportunity for local businesses and other organizations involved in green initiatives to exhibit their products and services to the wider public. The expo will also serve as a drop-off point for those needing to dispose of reusable items and other recyclables. In previous years, the expo has attracted more than 500 attendees, and organizers are optimistic that this year could be even bigger.

The expo is scheduled for September 19 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. It will be held at the Morton Grove Civic Center, located at 6140 Dempster Street.
