The annual Morton Grove Pumpkin Smashing will be held in town next month to provide the community with a fun and environmentally friendly way to discard pumpkins left over from Halloween.
The event will be presented by the Morton Grove Environment and Natural Resource Commission, a city commission that promotes preservation, conservation, and sustainability initiatives throughout Morton Grove. The commission is involved in events such as the Sustainability Expo, Earth Month activities, and the upcoming Pumpkin Smashing event.
The Pumpkin Smashing will be held at the north end of Harrer Park, a community-focused park with baseball and softball fields, a playground, a pool, and a walking path. Public works staff will gather all the donated pumpkins that people bring and load them into a dump truck. Then, the dump truck will tip the pumpkins into a compost bin as attendees watch the smashing in real time. There will also be plenty of refreshments to enjoy during the viewing.
Community events like this often benefit from being advertised on Flyers that organizers can have printed at local Print shops offering flyer printing services and then distribute around town.
The Pumpkin Smashing is scheduled to take place on November 7 from 9:00 am to noon. The exact location is Park View School, located at 6200 Lake Street, Morton Grove.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
