A 5k and 8k running and walking event is set to take place next month near Morton Grove.
Participants from Morton Grove and other surrounding communities can choose to walk or run a 5k or 8k along a scenic running course that will begin at the historic Lincoln Park neighborhood close to Diversey Harbor. A water station will be available for runners to access a couple of times throughout the event. Flyer printing is a common solution that hosts of similar events often choose to create multiple printouts featuring race information for all participants.
Tickets to the 8k division cost $30 for basic admission, which includes a finisher’s medal, a long-sleeve race shirt, and a beverage for after the race. Packet pickups for this option are available at Fleet Old Town for two days prior to the event day between 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm on each day. Tickets for packet pickups at Will Call on race day cost $34, while those who prefer to receive their packets in the mail can register for $44.
For the 5k, tickets are available for the same three options as for the 8k and cost $25, $29, and $39 per person.
The St. Paddy’s Day 5k and 8k Run or Walk event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 13 and conclude at 1:00 pm.
