Star and unique band to join forces for show

A multitalented celebrity will be performing a show as a part of her new tour, with help from a music group, in early August, and it includes a stop not far from Morton Grove.

Jenny Lewis was first a child actress before her shift into the music industry. She is most recognized for her role in “Life With Lucy”. Putting her life experiences into her songs, Lewis has released several hits like “Puppy and a Truck,” “Head Underwater,” “Acid Tongue,” and “Bad Man’s World.”

Also on stage will be Trampled By Turtles, a band put together by Dave Simonett. Other members include Erik Berry, Ryan Young, Tim Saxhaug, and Dave Carroll. The style the band focuses on is a blend of progressive and classic bluegrass. A few of their tracks are “Wildflowers,” “Midnight on the Interstate,” “Wild Animals,” and “Hollow.”

This concert is a part of the Out Of Space series being put on at the Canal Shores Golf Course, located in the nearby town of Evanston. Parking costs $20, with passes for a lot that is across the street from the hospital.

A VIP ticket is $145, while regular tickets are $45. The show is restricted to those who are aged 17 or older. Everyone is required to provide a negative Covid-19 test result or proof of complete vaccination. Flyer printing is often used to promote shows like this.

Festivities will kick off at 6:30 pm on August 4.
