Next month, Morton Grove will host the Savor the Season food event, organized by the local Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants is a locally based restaurant and wine-chain that boasts 54 locations in Illinois, each of which includes a retail store, wine-tasting room, and full-service restaurant area. The restaurant chain specializes in wine-driven, chef-curated cuisine and frequently hosts special events for their customers and Wine Club members.
The event happening in November will celebrate the warm, cozy flavors and aromas of fall. Attendees are invited to savor the seasonal, chef-curated dishes and rich flavors inspired by the ambiance of the autumn season. The menu will begin with a crisp winter white wine and will feature pretzel bread, with braised short rib as well as barley soup as a first course, followed by mushroom crusted pork with butternut squash risotto, and finished with warm maple pecan pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Each course will also be paired with a suitable white or red wine.
