Morton Grove residents looking to refresh their closets will have a chance next month at the Adult Clothing Swap event hosted by a local community member.
The upcoming fall season may cause many people to consider cleaning out their closets and stocking up on new styles and ensembles. Often, people struggle with what to do with their gently used clothing, not wanting to throw them away or take the time to sell them. The Adult Clothing Swap solves this problem by offering a space for community members to take their gently used clothing to exchange for items from other people’s closets.
The swap will follow the philosophy of “give what you have, take what you need.” Participants can bring up to 25 pieces of adult clothing or shoes to exchange. A maximum of 25 pieces, and no more than five pairs of shoes, may be brought to avoid overwhelming the swap. There will be a spreadsheet available for people to fill out what they have brought and will receive.
Neighbors organizing community events like this may create advertising materials, such as Posters, to get the word out. Utilizing the flyer printing services of small businesses can be an affordable way to do this.
The Adult Clothing Swap is scheduled for Saturday, September 7 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It will be held at Harrer Park, located at 8850 Moody Avenue.Get a Free Quote for Posters
