Morton Grove to explore wine flavors and aromas
Next week, wine enthusiasts in Morton Grove will have the chance to learn how to taste wine like the pros at the Small Bites & Wine Flights at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is an upscale restaurant that embodies the experiences of elegant yet casual dining, a private dining room, full-service bar, and a Napa-style tasting room. The restaurant pride itself on providing a premier wine list curated to pair perfectly with its New American fare.
The Small Bites & Wine Flights will be a guided wine pairing event in which a selection of eight curated wines will be paired with gourmet “junk” foods. Participants will learn the tasting techniques used by wine connoisseurs as they explore the flavors and aromas of each wine sample, and how to pair with each food. Some examples of the wine and food pairings are lux sparkling paired with truffle herb and parmesan popcorn, sauvignon blanc with white cheddar Jalapeno popcorn, and pinot gris paired with honey mustard pretzel pieces.
Food and beverage tasting events will often feature special menus given out to guests detailing that night’s dinner offering. Organizers may visit specialty stationery printers to print such materials for the event.
The wine tasting is slated for next Monday, November 4 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The restaurant is located at 6731 Demster Street. Tickets are $30.
