This October, Morton Grove Park District will hold the Cold Brews and Cornhole Tournament at Harrer Park to showcase Illinois breweries while also providing fun activities for the community.
Founded in 1951, Morton Grove Park District serves the community of Morton Grove as a separate municipal governing agency that oversees recreational facilities, parks, and programs. Community members have access to 14 parks, four field houses, two outdoor pools, a community center, and a museum. The park district also hosts various special events for the public, like this one.
The festival will feature beers from some of the state’s top breweries, as well as new breweries making their way onto the local craft beer scene. The event will begin with beer tastings from Illuminated Brew Works, Mullarkeys Distributors, and Tangled Roots. There will also be live music from Second Hand Soul Band, a Chicago-based soul, Motown, and rock band. The festival will finish with attendees competing against one another in the Cornhole Tournament.
Vendors who participate in festivals like this will often bring along a supply of Business Cards to hand out to people and connect with potential customers.
The Cold Brews festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Harrer Park is located at 6250 Dempster Street. General admission is $40.
