For an employee of School District 67 in Morton Grove, spring will see her reaching the completion of her work to enhance her education and credentials.
Beth Sagett-Fores, who is the district’s superintendent, has graduated from a fellowship at the Illinois School of Advanced Leadership cohort. This is a program that gives school superintendents a set of additional tools and skills they can use to better lead their respective districts. It also provided the 28 administrators who took part with an opportunity to network and share best practices with one another. A printer can put its graphic design abilities to use in preparing special certificates of completion for all those who successfully complete a program such as this.
Over the past 14 months, Ms. Sagett-Fores dedicated one weekend in Springfield each month to her studies in the program, which is where the leadership training took place. She noted that she feels she has learned many worthwhile skills, and that this education will prove to be an asset in the performance of her duties.
Ms. Sagett-Fores went on to say that she has learned new time management and other techniques to prioritize how she spends her time while she’s working. As the sole administrator, she feels that this skill is something that she will be able to put to good use in providing the best possible educational experience for the students in her district.
