The Morton Grove location of the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute has announced that it will be undergoing renovations in order to upgrade its facilities and improve client care.
The first stage of the project will involve the removal of an existing indoor swimming pool, as well as the demolition of the current MRI suite. As part of this, the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems that currently are in place for the MRI equipment will be replaced. This will include the use of nonferrous materials and upgraded RF shielding prior to the installation of a new MRI setup.
Once it is gone, the space where the deconstructed swimming pool used to be will filled with structural stone that will be covered with flooring. This will provide a place for a specially designed open work space that will accommodate an area to be used for physical and occupational training.

The construction company that will be responsible for the project is The Missner Group, which will conduct its work in such a way that the facility will be able to remain open while it undertakes the renovations.
