The 3rd Annual Morton Grove Sustainability Expo & Recycling Fest will take place next month to highlight and promote sustainability practices and eco-friendly initiatives.
The festival was created to raise awareness of sustainable living practices and encourage a greener, more eco-friendly lifestyle for both individuals and companies alike. The event will begin with a welcome ceremony by Mayor DiMaria and other local officials.
Afterwards, attendees will be free to peruse the exhibition booths that will feature eco-friendly businesses, green initiatives, and sustainability organizations. For the little ones, there will also be an activity tent filled with fun games and activities related to environmental practices. Ganache Bakery will be onsite selling coffee and sweet treats, and the Hello Boba truck will also there to sell refreshing bubble tea.
Those attendees looking to become more involved can participate in the Recycling Fest, where attendees can bring items to recycle or reuse. They can choose to take the Sustainability Pledge and be entered into a raffle for prizes, such as Brookfield Zoo tickets. Exhibiters will also be sponsoring giveaways. Promotional Products are often distributed at events like this one.
The sustainability expo is scheduled for Saturday, September 9 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. It will be held at the Morton Grove Civic Center, which is at 6140 Dempster Street. The event is free for the community.
