Morton Grove families should note that the Morton Grove Park District will hold the Family Camp Out event in August so that families can enjoy a safe, fun way to experience the outdoors.
The Morton Grove Park District was founded in 1951 and serves a community of 23,000 individuals by providing and presiding over a network of parks, green spaces, and recreational areas. The park district is also responsible for organizing a variety of enrichment programs, educational workshops, and community events, such as the Family Camp Out happening in August.
It will take place at Harrer Park, and families will need to bring their own camping gear and supplies along. Organizers will provide a firepit along with s’mores ingredients to enjoy around the fire. Campers will be able to swim, play games, and even watch an outdoor movie the morning after. Attendees aged 18 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Outdoor events may be advertised on appropriately designed Posters, which can be printed in bulk at local shops specializing in poster printing services.
The Family Camp Out event is slated to take place on Saturday, August 9, and Sunday, August 10, starting at 4:00 pm on the Saturday and wrapping up at 9:00 am on the Sunday morning. The hosting venue, Harrer Park, is located at 6250 Dempster Street, Morton Grove.
