Morton Grove community shares coffee with legislators

Next month, the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce will present the Meet Your Legislators event, which will offer ordinary citizens the opportunity to meet and converse with their state legislators.

The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce still prides itself on following its 1926 motto of “Ever Onward,” as shown by its efforts to promote and support the businesses in the community. In its advocating efforts for local businesses, the chamber also works for the improvement and enhancement of the entire community.

The Meet Your Legislators event will take place at the MG Public Library and will feature elected officials representing the citizens of Morton Grove. Community members will be able to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and tasty donuts as they converse with legislators about important issues affecting them. Officials that are expected to attend include State Senators Ram Villivalam and Laura Fine, Cook County Commissioner Maggie Trevor, State Representative Mike Kelly, Maine Township Supervisor Karen Dimond, Niles Township Supervisor Bonnie Ognisanti, and Mayor Dan DiMaria.

Community-focused events like this are often advertised through Flyers, which can be printed in bulk by using local flyer printing services and handed out to the public.

The legislators meet-and-greet will be held on June 18 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. The MG Public Library is located at 6140 Lincoln Avenue.
