Exhibition to provide direct buyer access

A multi-day event is sure to give Morton Grove residents a unique shopping opportunity this December.

The International Gem & Jewelry Show is an expo where wholesalers, designers, and manufacturers can gather together for a more direct point of access to potential buyers, and these buyers can have access to deals they wouldn’t get in a store.

Some of the types of products to be sold at the event include gemstones, jewelry, diamonds, pearls, beads, setting pieces, men’s jewelry, costume pieces, watches, chains, jewelry crafting supplies, cleaning services, vintage items, repair services, and custom pieces.

A display of celebrity owned pieces is displayed at the expo as well. Some of the stars InterGem Inc. has items from are First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elton John, Liberace, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor, and Cher. A few items may also be on sale that used to belong to a celebrity, although this depends on availability.

Tickets online are just $6, with standard passes costing $8. Both options cover all three days of the event. Online tickets can be purchased through both InterGem’s site and EventBrite. The age of entry is nine or older. Admission is free to active duty military, veterans, and their immediate families. Photography is not permitted.

The shows will take place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, located in nearby Rosemont. Flyer printing is often done when promoting exhibitions like this. Day one, December 9th, will run from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Day two, December 10th, will be from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Day three, December 11th, will last from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
