The 3rd annual Bike Niles Fest is taking place this June, giving two-wheelers an opportunity to get some much needed fresh summer air.
The festival will feature three bike courses for people of varying ages. The Tyke ride spans half a mile and is for children between the ages of four and seven, while the Family Bike Ride spans two to three miles. Seasoned cyclists can take on the six-mile Experienced Ride.
Mayor Przybylo will be cutting the ribbon to open the Robert Amling Memorial Bike Route before the races begin. After they have completed their rides, visitors can enjoy two performances of the Division Stunt Team BMX show, a bounce house, appearances by Ronald McDonald and Snoopy, and giveaways from local businesses. Local vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise, and there will be food and drink available for purchase.
It is likely that this family friendly event will appeal to people from all over the area, including nearby Morton Grove. To advertise, organizers might plan to invest in flyer printing services.
The Bike Niles Fest is being held on June 6 beginning at 9:00 am at the Gemini Junior High School parking lot. The rides will begin at 10:10 am with the Experienced Ride, 10:15 am for the Family Ride, and 10:20 am for the Tyke Ride.
