The biannual Community Artists Performance is set to take place in Morton Grove next month for its eighth year.
Since 2016, this twice-yearly event has served as a way to showcase the talents of creative individuals from the village. The organization of this event is managed by the shared efforts of the Morton Grove Community Relations Commission and Identity Performing Arts.
Artists were encouraged to apply online through the Identity Performing Arts website, and still have until 5:00 pm this Friday, March 6 to do so. Whether an artist is reentering the event or making a debut, each individual’s performance will be a unique take on his or her talents.
Group performances will occur over the course of seven minutes each and solo performances will last for up to four minutes. All performers will be at least 15 years old or more.
Morton Grove locals and travelers alike are welcome to enjoy this event for free. Poster printing is often used by organizers of such performances to notify those interested in attending as to event details and dates.
About 10 to 13 performers in addition to an audience of approximately 450 spectators will be able to attend the event at its venue.
This evening performance is set to take place at the American Legion Memorial Civic Center on Saturday, April 18 at 4:00 pm.
