The 25th annual Skokie Festival of Cultures is taking place over two days this May.
The festival is expected to showcase 14 different cultures in the city, including those from Armenia, Italy, Cuba, India, and the United States. There will be cultural displays and a merchandising bazaar that will be selling items related to the participating cultures. There are set to be folk music and dance performances, including a flag display, showings of international films, a mini train ride, and beer tastings. Food from all the various countries will also be available for purchase.
This event will have something to appeal to everyone in the family, and may go far in teaching people about the various cultures residing in their neighborhood. It will also allow community organizations to inform the public about their programs and services. Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help ensure that the festival goes smoothly.
Visitors from nearby communities, such as Morton Grove, will likely take a short trip to attend at least one day of this festival. To help advertise it in surrounding areas, this may involve investing in products such as Brochures, Posters and Flyers from local brochure printers.
