Mini golf lovers and pub crawling enthusiasts will unite next month for a traditional event in neighboring Berwyn, providing an opportunity for Lyons residents to compete.
The 21st Annual Depot District Mini Golf Pub Crawl, organized by Why Berwyn, is preparing to open registration for golfers who want to participate in an extravaganza to promote local businesses while enjoying an entertaining competition.
Interested parties will need to grab their preferred putter and three friends to form a team and sign up to compete. The crawl will tour the Depot District’s top restaurants, taverns, and pubs, with each venue designing and creating a custom putting green to challenge competitors.
For the best experience, all players will want to bring their own putters from home, and individual players are encouraged to sign up. Flyer printing is one of the most effective ways to raise awareness of such events around town while promoting the event’s organizers and sponsors.
Prizes will be awarded to teams with the highest and lowest scores at the end of the crawl, as well as to the best-themed team. The Twisted Putter Trophy will go to the best venue.
The competition will be held at Berwyn’s Depot District on Saturday, April 19, from noon until 6:00 PM. Registration is $15 for individuals and $40 for foursomes.
