Lyons residents with an interest in learning about different sports will want to mark their Calendars for later this month to support Illinois’ Sumo Association.
The Illinois Sumo Association Launch Party & Fundraiser will be coming to a Lyons venue soon to bring amateur sumo to the state through a memorable and exclusive launch party experience. The launch will feature appearances by Yamamotoyama, also known as Yama, along with Samuel Rodriguez III and the directors of the Association.
Guest stars will include DJ Donnie “The Freakin’ Puerto Rican” and David Britton, who will use their musical skills to keep energy levels high for the historic evening. Attendees will have the chance to receive entrance and door prize giveaways to leave the launch party as winners. Organizers can create lasting impressions and positive feelings toward organizations and businesses by giving out Promotional Products to guests at such events.
The evening will be a celebration of the beginning of amateur sumo wrestling in Illinois while doubling as a fundraising event. The money raised will benefit the promotion of sumo wrestling in the Midwest, safety equipment, traditional happi coats, and official dohyo rings and mats.
Marlin’s on Pershing, located at 7236 39th Street in Lyons, has been selected as the host venue. The launch party will kick off at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 23rd. Tickets must be purchased online, starting at $24 per attendee.
