Artists and aspiring creatives in Lyons and the surrounding area will have a chance to learn new skills and hone existing ones when a drawing class comes to town.
The Graphite Portrait Drawing Workshop will be held across three sessions over three weeks, and the ticket price will cover all three. Interested parties can reserve their place in the class now.
Jamie, an experienced artist from Jasmine Moon Designs, will be leading the workshop, demonstrating the different techniques used to shade and add texture to the portraits. It is viewed as an ideal opportunity for individuals who love drawing faces and beginners who want to learn how to draw using pencils. Stationery printers can provide local artists with an efficient way to make Copies of their latest works and marketing materials.
Session 1 will focus on the layout fundamentals, while Session 2 will guide participants through the different drawing techniques they will use. Session 3 focuses on shading for drawn pieces to make them look more realistic. If they do not already have them to bring, students will need to purchase a sketchbook, blending tools, and a pencil set, which the organizers say should cost about $20.
The drawing workshop will be held at BuckleDown Brewing in Lyons on Thursday, February 12 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $81.88 per student and can be purchased online.
