The America’s Blues Birthday Party is coming to Lyons this September, with the Windy City Blues Society aiding the organizing efforts in the hope of sharing the American genre with a local audience. The party will be held across two days, and will feature two separate stages for the performances and activities for the entire family.
It is part of the official America 250 celebrations, with its focus on honoring the nation’s blues music heritage. Over 40 performances will be held on stage featuring local, regional, and national artists. Attendees will get to explore the differences between Chicago blues, soul blues, contemporary blues, and Delta blues.
