Military show shares history in Lyons

A military show featuring antique items and a showcase of history will be coming to Lyons, and local history enthusiasts will want to attend.

The Countryside Military Show, presented by Chicago Military Shows LLC, is preparing to welcome guests and visitors, and aims to take attendees back in time to explore the world of military history and the men and women who lived it. Several eras of military history will be on display, covering many of the major conflicts of the past century.

Organizers are expecting to host over 130 vendors who will display military items and antiques from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Items on display will include uniforms, equipment, medals, and patches from different units. Banner printing is a classic way to promote such experiences and welcome attendees to host venues while providing space for sponsor logos.

The military show will also feature reenactors in uniform from various wars, bringing history to life for attendees. The organizers have arranged for several classic military vehicles to be at this year’s show. Food trucks will also be on hand to serve meals and snacks.

The Countryside Banquets and Conference Center in Lyons will host the show. It is scheduled for Saturday, August 2 at 8:30 AM. General admission is $5 per person.
