A leisurely cycling event is being organized near Lyons for next month, helping area residents dust off their bicycles and spend quality time outside.
The Ride Riverside May Slow Roll cycling event is coming to a nearby town, and Lyons residents looking for a good way to enjoy warmer weather are encouraged to register and attend. The event will be the second ride of the season, and the planned course will cover four to five miles of paved paths.
Interested parties are encouraged to light up their bikes for a safe journey on the route, and helmets are also recommended for safety. All participants are asked to stay behind the leaders wearing safety Vests at all times and to be courteous toward drivers. Poster printing is an effective way to promote such events around the town to boost attendance and interest.
The event aims to provide a family-friendly atmosphere and is suitable for participants of most ages and experience levels. The ride will progress at a pace of around six to seven miles per hour. Interested parties without bikes can borrow one from friends or contact the Ride Riverside group.
The riders will meet at Riverside Station in nearby Riverside at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 9th. The experience is free for all interested parties, and registration is available for riders online.
