Publication holds seasonal contests

The Halloween Contests of 22nd Century Media are returning this month. These contests are open to all its southwest suburban towns, including New Lenox, Frankfort, Tinley Park, and Homer.

Such organizations can turn to poster printing to advertise such contests in the towns they serve.

One of the contests is for Halloween costumes. There will be three categories in which to people can win, two of which are for adults and one for children. Adults can win in the categories of Most Creative and Scariest Costume, while children can triumph in a category where the primary criterion is creativity.

The pumpkin carving contest has two categories – one for adults who are 16 years and older, and another for children 15 years and younger. This contest is based on skill and creativity.

For each contest, each person can only submit one costume or pumpkin, and must be pictured in that costume or with the pumpkin. Costumes also should be family friendly.

Judging of the entries will be carried out by the editorial staff of 22nd Century Media and winners will be selected based on consideration of the holiday, quality of craftsmanship, successful execution of an idea, and creativity.

All entries to these contest need to be submitted to 22nd Century Media by 2:00 pm on next Friday, November 1. There is a potential that entries will be published.
