New fitness center opened in Frankfort

A fitness center is welcoming the public in Frankfort, offering workouts lasting 50 minutes that combine strength training and using a treadmill.

Treaddfit is a chain with locations in Palos Heights and Beverly. This shop is owned by Fran and Jennifer Zeiger, long-time residents of Frankfort, who thought that getting involved would be an opportunity to give back to the community.

Jennifer, who is a certified instructor for Treadfit, said the classes offered at the fitness center are interval-based and designed to benefit the entire body. She added that they are somewhat high intensity but stressed that this should not be a deterrent for those who might be new to this type of workout. She said that each class is customized so that participants are on the treadmill two or three times with weight training in between, meaning no two classes are exactly the same.

Classes are offered seven days a week with some starting as early as 5:30 am while others are as late as 7:00 pm to accommodate the busy schedules of those interested in boosting their fitness. More information about pricing and schedules for such classes are often provided with brochure printing.

Group classes are currently being offered but the Zeigers plan to offer individualized personal training in the future. Participants in classes can always go at their own pace.
