Local charity to benefit from breakfast in Frankfort
The Dancing Marlin in Frankfort is partnering with local organizations to help those in need of assistance.
The eatery will be hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast this weekend, the proceeds of which will go to benefit Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a non-profit organization in the area that builds beds and then delivers them to families in need in the region. Print shops often lend a hand to help promote such breakfasts and their fundraising efforts.
The breakfast will feature bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, French toast, hash browns, tea, and coffee. Tickets are $15 for children and $30 for adults. A gift certificate worth $20 towards their next visit will also be given to those who attend the all-you-can-eat breakfast. People can also bring blankets, pillows, sheets, and comforters, all of which are supplies needed by the organization..
The banquet and events manager at The Dancing Marlin, Jessica McHugh, stressed the importance of the restaurant collaborating with local organizations to help non-profits because there was a time when the restaurant itself was just getting started and received considerable support from the community to be successful. She added that they also want to see the smiling faces of children when they know they are getting a bed because of the restaurant.
