Frankfort to undertake maintenance programs

The Village Board of Frankfort has approved several proposals and contracts for maintenance programs to be carried out for 2020-2021.

Towns often turn to local Print shops to create documents for residents with more details about such projects.

One of these is a contract for the next two years with Bill's Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping, Inc. to provide landscape bed maintenance, trimming of bushes, and lawn mowing services for the 2021 and 2022 lawn mowing seasons for the village. The contract is for $115,525 per year.

Another is a contract also for two years with Excel Electric, Inc. to handle repair of streetlights in the village, which maintains and owns 1,455 streetlights. The bid from Excel Electric was for $118 an hour for repairs done during regular business hours and $165 an hour for those done after hours.

The village will also be replacing several water mains in Town. Austin Tyler Construction will be carrying out this work over this year and next. The replacements will take place on Wisconsin Road, Locust Street, and Walnut Ridge Court, among others. The contract is for an amount not to exceed $1,284.093.26.

The last one is a contract with Duke's Root Control for close to $150,000 for manhole rehabilitation and sanitary sewer work over the next year. Among the items in the project will be cover replacement, frame resets, coating and grouting, and sealing of manholes.
