Frankfort to host special Halloween events

The Frankfort Park District is planning several special events for the fall season.

A family-friendly Halloween event will be held at Main Park this month. At the event, which is called “Thriller at Main Park,” there will be a balloon artist, spooky games, inflatables, a DJ dance party, hayride, crafts for the kids, a thriller dance contest, and a small pumpkin patch. There will be two sessions, one from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and the other from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The cost is $10 per child for those who register by this Friday, October 6 and $15 after that date based on availability. Those who register early will receive a goody bag. This event will take place on Friday, October 13 at Main Park on W. Nebraska Street.

Howl-A-Woof will be a costume competition for dogs with a bone yard hunt. There will be the opportunity for dogs to trick or treat with the vendors at Bark Park. Prizes for the costume competition will be awarded for the scariest, funniest, and best overall costume. This event is free and leash free. All dog owners under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This event will take place on Saturday, October 14 beginning at 10:00 am.

Such unique events can be promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
