Frankfort to host fun family events in June

Several special events will be held in Frankfort next month.

People can start off their summer with an After-Hours Party at Splash Park. There will be games, an inflatable jump, pizza, and cookies for everyone to enjoy the fun. Attendees need to bring beach towels. This event is for children between the ages of two and ten who are accompanied by a parent. The cost is $10 for the child only. This will be at Commissioners Park Splash Park on S. 80th Avenue on Thursday, June 6 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be sponsoring Parties in the Park throughout the summer. There will be a DJ, activities, and games at each party and lots of fun for the entire family. The first Party in the Park will be at Kohlhagen Park at the intersection of Cardinal Lake Drive and 108th Avenue from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, June 10.

Finally, the Breidert Green at Kansas and White Streets will be the location for Movies on the Green next month. This free event is for the entire family and this month’s movie will be “Super Mario Bros.” Attendees should bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the movie under the stars. The screening will be on Tuesday, June 11 beginning at dusk – approximately 8:15 pm.

Such events are often promoted by a town and its sponsors with poster printing.
