Frankfort student to participate in distinguished conference

Bryson Das from Frankfort will be attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. this summer.

He will be joining other outstanding students from Middle School for this unique career and academically oriented development experience. This conference is part of a family of programs of Envision by WorldStrides, which enables students to learn outside of the classroom and explore their interests. Announcements of such nature are often made known throughout a community with poster printing.

Bryson will represent Hickory Middle School in Frankfort. He was nominated to attend the conference in addition to his participation in Geography Bee, Scholastic Bowl, National Junior Honors Society, and Mathletes. He is also an athlete and plays baseball for the Rawlings Tigers and Hickory Creek Middle School. He is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience at the conference as he plans to work in finance.

Senior Vice President of Envision, Amanda Freitag Thomas, expressed her excitement for Bryson as he will have the chance to collaborate and work with other like-mined students from across the country. Thomas said she also attended Envision and that the best part of the program is being there with other equally motivated students in an environment that enable students to grow, meet new people, and challenge assumptions. She added that they will be able to learn the skills that are essential to being successful in today’s world.
