The town of Frankfort is planning several events this August.
The first is a Community Garage Sale to be held by the Frankfort Park District. Those who will be participating in this event will be on a list that will be on several social media sites as well as the town website. Each home participating in this event will receive a packet including garage sale selling tips, balloons, a garage sale sign, and a map of the subdivisions in town. This event will be held on Saturday, August 3 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Events like these are often promoted throughout a town with poster printing.
The Frankfort Park District will also be hosting a Party in the Park at Janssen Park at 116th Street and Notherby Way. There will be activities, games, and a dance party with a DJ. The party is sponsored by Freddies Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. This event will be from 1:30 to 3:00 pm on Monday, August 5.
The Frankfort Park District, the village of Frankfort, and the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring Movies on the Green. This month’s movie will be “The Mighty Ducks” which is rated PG. This will be at Breidert Green on Kansas and White Streets. People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket, but no alcoholic beverages or pets. This will be at approximately 8:15 pm on Tuesday, August 13.
