Dance company receives funds for operating expenses

A grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency for $12,900 has been awarded to Ballet Five Eight NFP, a nonprofit arts organization based in Frankfort. The money will go towards supporting the organization’s general operations between September 2018 and August 2019.

Ballet Five Eight NFP provides high-quality, accessible dance performances and education and is committed to the residents, artists, and communities of Illinois. The company expressed its gratitude for this grant to help support its 2018-2019 season.

There are over 20 adult professional teachers and dancers who are both from the local community and whom the company attracts to relocate to the state. There are also many dancers of college age who are also brought to Illinois to improve their skills and give them the experience they need in dance performance to pursue professional careers.

In addition to education, new, original full-length performances are created by the professional artists to be held in Frankfort. The company has also performed at the Lincoln-Way West High School Fine Arts Center in New Lenox, the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Moline, and Urbana High School Auditorium in Urbana, among a number of others.

Banner printing companies can be hired to create displays in town and the surrounding communities so that people learn more about such awards and the mission of the nonprofit organizations behind them.
