County mobile units helps jobseekers with workshops and services

The Mobile Workforce Center of Will County recently released its schedule of workshops for those looking in Will County looking for employment. One of these series of workshops will be held at the Frankfort Public Library.

The Mobile Workforce Center will help jobseekers with writing their résumés and cover letters and filling out job applications. The unit also provides internet access with 11 computers and an online job board with listings from businesses in Will County. There is no cost to residents for these services.

Administrative manager of the Workforce Services Division, Susan Flessner, said that the division is letting people know about this center to facilitate access for people from all parts of the county.

The Frankfort Public Library on S. Pfeiffer Road will be offering this workshop on Fridays in March from 9:30 am to noon. Techniques like flyer printing can be used for such events to inform the community of their availability and schedules.

In addition, on Friday, March 15, there will be orientation for Aliscon.com which offers over 1,000 free online courses for individuals to help them obtain a diploma or certificate in more than 300 categories. The following Friday, March 22, there will be a special job search workshop on several techniques, including using the internet for job searching and networking.
