The Healthy Kids Day festival is taking place at the end of this month in Evanston.
This free event is hoping to promote health awareness among parents and children. Several community organizations will be on hand to provide information and to showcase their programs and services. Some of those who are confirmed to be appearing at this year's festival include health companies, insurance firms, the American Red Cross, the Chicago Children's Theatre, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the Evanston Public Library.
During the morning, there will be face painting, a make-your-own trail mix activity, and obstacle course training. Visitors will be entertained by the Evanston Children's Choir and the Foster Dance Studio will be giving lessons in improvised dancing. There will also be interactive demonstrations in family Zumba and martial arts.
Visitors should come away with at least a little more information on living healthier lifestyles. It is likely that many of the exhibitors taking part will be handing out Promotional Products as a way for people to remember their names. Local printing companies can provide these products.
The Healthy Kids Day festival will be held at the McGaw YWCA on April 30 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about this event, or to find out about becoming a sponsor, contact Marcelina Tobar at 847-475-7400.
