Genre-spanning skating event helps the weekend glide in

This weekend, the annual spring ice show ‘Gliding through Genres’ is inviting people to come out and watch hundreds of skate-school students, as well as a number of professionals, as they perform a show to a diverse selection of music.

The planners may have used locally-based poster printing services to share information about this show with people from this community and the surrounding areas, as it looks to attract fans of both music and skating.

This year’s ice show features a selection of country, hip hop, pop, rock, and some crossover music to which the soloists and group skating troupes will perform to. Many of the musical scores have been chosen from songs that are popular in each genre and will include songs by everybody from Queen to Selena Gomez.

Suitable for all ages, the show takes place this weekend and will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm. The organizers recommend that tickets be reserved, the cost of which is $10, or $9 for general admission.

Robert Crown Center is hosting the show, and is located at 1701 Main Street in Evanston, Illinois. To learn more about the event, or to reserve tickets, visit the Robert Crown Center website or call its box office during normal hours at 847-448-8258.
