Festival will highlight one of America's favorite foods

The 4th annual Northshore BaconFest is taking place next month in nearby Glenview. A portion of proceeds from this event will go to the Friends of Wagner Farm and the Historic Wagner Farm Mission.

A number of the Northshore's best restaurants will be on hand to supply sample-sized bacon dishes. Some of those that are participating in this year's festival include Sweety Pie's Bakery, Pinstripes, and the Bluegrass Restaurant. Guests can also enjoy live musical entertainment from artists such as Sunnyside Up and purchase drinks at the cash bar. Admission is restricted to those aged 18 and over, and VIP tickets will allow entry to guests an hour before it is open to the public.

The Historic Wagner Farm is dedicated to preserving the area's agricultural history. It is open daily to the public and offers livestock, interactive exhibits and a hands-on silo display. The Friends of Wagner Farm hosts several fundraising events and was responsible for raising funds for the Heritage Center.

To ensure that people from all around the area, including those from nearby Evanston, are made aware of the festival, organizers may have invested in flyer printing services.

The Northshore BaconFest will be held at the Historic Wagner Farm Heritage Center on April 9 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $55 for general admission and $75 for VIP. Call 847-657-1506 for more information.
