An Evanston activity will give those who are new to indoor gardening some knowledge they can put to use, and explain why being a “plant parent” can be so rewarding.
The Plant Parenthood session on offer at Cultivate Urban Rainforest and Gallery will be all about the basics of plant care. Although aimed at the newbie, it may be of interest to anyone interested in picking up some new tips.
The session will be led by Lee, who will discuss topics including ensuring plants have the light they require and how to provide it to them. Watering and regulating humidity will be discussed, and everyone will learn how to spot small problems before they become big ones. There will be time for questions, and everyone will walk away with a 15% discount they make on any purchase at the venue on the day of the workshop.
A class focused on home horticulture may be a welcome opportunity to learn how to take care of a plant and why doing so is worthwhile. Copies of handouts and other materials for the attendees to take home can be prepared by Stationery printers.
This introduction to the basics of house plant cultivation will be on offer on Sunday, March 2nd. It will begin at 1:00 pm at 704 Main Street in Evanston.
