Browsing through a makers’ market can be a fun and productive way to spend an afternoon, and early August will see one of these events pop up in Evanston.
The activity, which will be held outdoors but under the cover of a parking garage, will boast hundreds of handmade items. A portion of the monies raised will be donated to a local not-for-profit group, and both admission and parking are free of charge for the shoppers.
The items in the mix will range from clothing and jewelry to art, handbags, and accessories. To help keep the function organized, the planners have made it possible to register ahead of time, and to thank those that do, their names will be entered in a raffle draw.
Local businesses that feel this function would be a good fit for them are invited to take advantage of its sponsorship program. All companies that do this will be able to show their community spirit by having their Logo Design or other branding added to the function’s marketing materials.
Evanston Made will be popping into the city on Sunday, August 6 at 1800 Maple Ave. For another chance to take part, it will be returning on October 8. More information for potential vendors and the general public alike can be found on Eventbrite, along with an opportunity to RSVP.
