Evanston invited to spooky fundraising run

October is a time for spine-tingling fun, and this will certainly be the case for an event that will be held near Evanston once the sun goes down.

Chicago’s Victorian Rosehill Cemetery will be the location for a fundraiser to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The participants can choose to run or walk along the 5k course, which will be lit by candles, adding to the spooky atmosphere of the occasion.

As the runners and walkers go along, they will be able to view the historic tombstones and other monuments that can be found in the cemetery, many of which date back to the Civil War. Several celebrities and other notables also call the site their final resting place, and the participants can learn a bit more about how they contributed to the history of the city.

Once the outdoor portion of the evening is finished, the group will be invited to assemble at Fireside Restaurant and Lounge for the Post-Run Pumpkin Party. Organizing an event like this can be made easier with the help of a printing services company, which can provide everything from Banners to T-Shirts and other swag.

This run, which will be both creepy and fun, will be held on October 12th. Its scheduled start time is 7:00 pm, and its online listing includes further details about both the event and the organization benefiting from the proceeds.
