Evanston fundraising walk to explore several area gardens

A garden walk offers a way for green thumbs to get inspired, and a selection of Evanston properties will be opening their gates to the public so they can admire their landscape designs.

The 31st Evanston Garden Walk has been scheduled for early this summer, and it will be held rain or shine. Many of the locations will be accessible for those with physical disabilities, and both formal- and informal-style gardens will be on the tour.

During the self-guided function, the registrants will be able to get ideas for their own properties, including how to incorporate spaces for pollinators. Shade gardening and formal French-style flowerbeds can be observed at other stops on the walk, and all of the funds that are raised from ticket sales will help fund scholarships for students who participate in activities at the Evanston Ecology Center, such as its summer camps.

It was noted that each ticket holder will receive a map of the various locations participating in the activity. These sorts of items are just some of what can be obtained from area Stationery printers for an occasion like this.

The 31st Evanston Garden Walk will be offering sneak peek behind the garden gate on Sunday, June 27. Tickets start at $20, and they may be purchased through the function’s online listing.
